The New Wave VALORANT Event Celebrates Harbor release with Indian Gaming Community
A gesture to cultural representation, diversity, and inclusion is made in Harbor, a.k.a. Varun Batra, which will be released on October 19th in VALORANT.

The first Indian agent of VALORANT, Harbor, a.k.a. Varun Batra, made his debut on October 15 during an immersive community event hosted by Riot Games at the Famous Cine Building in Mahalakshmi, Mumbai. One of Riot Games' most well-known first-person shooter games that is available for free to play is called VALORANT. Beginning on October 19th, Harbor will be playable in-game.
The launch event featured a variety of exhilarating immersive experiences, including a real-life Harbor Cosplay by Ankit Panth and motorcycle duplicate from the trailer, all while being in the limelight and amid great fanfare. Aditya Sawant (also known as Dynamo) and Ujjwal Chaurasia (also known as Techno Gamerz), two prominent Indian influencers, attended the event.

The Tempest Invitational event at the venue included an exhibition match between influencers and players pro organsiations like Global Esports, Enigma, and VLT. Team Alpha and Team Omega, two groups each with five players, were formed from the Pros and Influencers. On the Ascent map, Omega defeated B01 with a final score of 13–9. The MVPs for each of their teams were Hydra Flick and Antidote.
ARB4, Mangal Survarnan, and Tienas, the producers and musicians behind "RAJA," Harbor's desi hip-hop & carnatic fusion background track, gave an amazing performance to cap off the evening.
Speaking at the event, Ashish Gupta, Marketing Lead for India & South Asia at Riot Games said, “After many months of hard work, we are thrilled to finally introduce Harbor to the world! We’re humbled by the love and support we’ve received so far from the community in India and beyond. We’re sure Harbor is going to be a star both in and out of the game. We are also very excited to host our first Riot event in India and look forward to bringing more exciting activities and events to the country!”
