Sony PlayStation introduces India Hero Project to support Indian Developers
The Hero Project has already been a success in China.

Sony has announced the expansion of its indie-focused Hero Project to India, following its success in China. Studios in the nation may now submit their proposals, and if picked, they will receive mentoring, access to Sony's internal resources, recoupable development funds, marketing possibilities, and the possibility of PlayStation publishing the game itself.
A studio must have a physical presence in India, be registered as a legal organization, and then join PlayStation Partners to be eligible. Sony intends to support PS5, PSVR2, and PC titles and grants successful creators at least $100,000.
Hector Fernandez, Head of Global Third-Party Business Development & Strategic Initiatives for Sony Interactive Entertainment, said: “We believe in the enormous potential of Indian game developers and the amazing experiences they can provide our players worldwide. India’s rich culture, creativity and global perspective holds promise for unique games. We are delighted to foster local developers with India Hero Project. PlayStation is committed to utilizing our global capabilities and sharing our game development ethos to amplify new and diverse talents emerging from the region.”
