Netflix has got aboard some noticeable talents of the scene for this. Andrew Dabb, who is widely known for his work in Supernatural series will be writing the eight-episode season whereas direction will be done by Bronwen Hughes of The Walking Dead for first two episodes. Production will be taken care of by Constantin Film, the same guys behind the six Resident Evil films. Resident Evil Films were the top-selling movie franchise ever based on a video game grossing box office value of US$1.2 billion.

Netflix Announced: “When the Wesker kids move to New Raccoon City, the secrets they uncover might just be the end of everything. Resident Evil, a new live-action series based on Capcom’s legendary survival horror franchise, is coming to Netflix.”

There's no concrete word about the release date of the show. The timeline is distorted already by the pandemic, it's probably the best for all of us to not speculate anymore.
