The secret #ProjectXTRM thing from last yr was a PUBGM2 all along. I knew XTRM was a mobile game.
So I didn't make a update video on it. Got so tilted when I learned about it. pic.twitter.com/50hnX60epv
A recent report by PUBG tipster who goes by the name @PlayerIGN has revealed on Twitter that a sequel dubbed as a secret project "Project XTRM" is in the making. Just like its predecessor, the newest to be released game will have a mobile and console version too and Tencent will be taking care of publishing rights.
All the newest versions will be powered on the Unreal Engine 4 just like the current version. Also, Several Project XTRM job listings from PUBG corp are requesting prior Unreal Engine 4 experience in their resume.
The data leaker also confirms that "PUBG2 will be made by Seoul hq and PUBGMOBILE2 by the head of PUBGLite".
Although this might be a reality that a sequel is in the making, we haven't heard from any official word from PUBG Corp themselves, so it is unlikely that we are getting a release date anytime soon.
