PlayStation 5 is coming to India on 2nd of February 2021
Pre-orders begin at 12PM IST on 12th of January.

The new year has given a sigh of relief to all the PlayStation enthusiasts of India. Sony has finally given out confirmation that they will start rolling out PS5 from February 2nd, 2021. Pre-orders begin for the latest console at 12PM IST on 12th of January.
Sony adds in a Twitter post that pre-orders will be available "(until stocks lasts at respective retailer) at Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Games The Shop, Shop at Sony Center, Vijay Sales and selected other authorized Retail partners."

PlayStation 5 originally made its worldwide debut in November and India is one of the last countries to receive the console. Sony took a moment to thank all the PS5 fans of India in the same post, "We take this opportunity to once more thank our PlayStation enthusiasts for their patience and enthusiasm around PS5.”

The newest console from Sony has been a hit across the world and did encounter stock problems due to unprecedented demand in the market. Sony did cite in the past that "more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year", meaning by now they have might already be worked on to amp up the console's availability.
