Olympic Esports Series Adds Fortnite Shooting Tournament Among Exciting Lineup
A custom Creative Island is created within Fortnite.

The IOC developed the first Olympic Esports Series 2023, a four-day celebration of video games and virtual sports that takes place in Singapore.
On a unique Fortnite Creative Island, twelve Fortnite Champion Series players will participate in a sharpshooting tournament supported by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
International Olympic Committee said, “The ISSF’s sport shooting island created in Fortnite has been added to the Olympic Esports Finals line-up.The event will see 12 players from the 2023 Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) invited to compete on the global stage.”
Nine games that correspond to actual sports that are overseen by international federations are already part of the Olympic Esports Series.
There are a variety of games on hand, including online chess, Just Dance, Gran Turismo 7, and Zwift cycling. It also represents a continuation of the 2021 Olympic Virtual Series, which comprised five virtual sports.
The International Olympic Committee also sees this as a part of a bigger initiative to support esports and engage with the gaming community.
The first live competition finals of the 2023 competition series will take place during the Olympic Esports Week, for which tickets are already on sale through the IOC.
From June 22 to June 25, 2023, the event will take place at Singapore's Suntec Centre, and tickets will cost 10 SGD (or $7.50) for a single day or 20 SGD (or $15) for all three days of competition.
On June 24, shooting competitions for Fortnite will take place.
