Jagran Play announced a new esports event for Call of Duty: Mobile (COD Mobile) in India that is featuring a massive prize pool of INR 20,00,000 ($24,550 USD). Registrations are now open on the Jagran Play website and teams will qualify for the main event via Invited Qualifiers and Online Qualifiers. Registrations for the qualifier opened on 15th September and teams need to sign up by 10th October to participate in the event.

Tournament Overview:

Call of Duty: Mobile is seeing a surge in popularity in India and Jagran Play wants to offer teams an opportunity to compete at the national level with a hefty prize pool. The event which is being organized in partnership with MediaTek, Playtonia Esports & Radio city. The campaign has already commenced and the invited Call of Duty Mobile teams are currently competing in the Invited Qualifiers which will end on 9th October. The Invited Qualifiers feature a best-of-three round-robin format.

  • Tryhards

The open qualifiers will take place from 11th October to 16th October and we will see four invited teams and four open qualifier teams make it to the grand finals based on their standings in the qualifier. Teams competing in the open qualifiers will have to compete in a single-elimination best-of-three format. 

The grand finals will take place from the 18th to the 21st of October and we will see the championship-winning team take home INR 10,00,000 ($12,275). The rest of the prize pool will be divided among the other teams in the top eight as well as the top performers at the event. In addition to the prize pool, Jagran Play is also hosting a giveaway for fans with INR 2,00,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

How to Register:

Players need to be at least 13 years of age and anyone below 18 needs to provide a parent/guardian consent form. Players will be barred from playing in more than one team during the event.
