India should lead the digital gaming sector, develop games inspired by its culture, folk tales: PM Modi
On Saturday, in a meeting which was attended by other noticeable figures of the country such as Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Smriti Irani, it was said by PM Narendra Modi that “India should tap the huge potential in digital gaming arena by developing games inspired by its culture and folk tales”.
The meeting was held with a point of view to boost toy manufacturing within the country as “toys can be an excellent medium to further the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, PM Modi added. In the end, that didn’t let PM Modi end the meet without ignoring the digital gaming sector which has been on a rise.
Considering the country is a homeland for several toy clusters and an uncountable number of craftsmen, PM quoted that toys aligned with Indian Culture will help boost children for all-round development and connect with the roots at an early age.
PM Modi tweeted mentioning the urge to organise hackathons in toy technology and design. He also pinpointed the booming digital gaming arena and how India has the potential to lead internationally in the same.
