Originally the word was out in May of 2019 and finally almost after close to two years Electronic Arts is bringing a mobile version of their popular game Apex Legends to all the Android devices from the region of India and the Philippines.

As reported earlier in Feb, the developer was bound to be holding a soft launch of Apex Legends Mobile in "3/4 months" and apparently after 3 months today; the time has come.

"Beginning later this month, we're kicking off the first regional beta tests for Apex Legends Mobile. This is a huge moment for our team. Two years ago we changed the landscape of the battle royale genre, and now we’re aiming to do it again on mobile," said Game Director Chad Grenier. "It’s a new version of Apex Legends, but it’s true to the original."

However, users from India are already been able to pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store

It's confirmed that the mobile version doesn't support an optional cross-play feature as the Switch could with PC and Console users. iOS users and the countries apart from India and the Philippines need to wait a little longer as of now to access the game.

Apex Legends Mobile will be a standalone version of the game as it is specifically optimised for touchscreens. The developer notes that the title will be Free to play and will go live for a certain few thousand users towards the end of this month.
