Gen.G and PUMA Partner Up To Launch Exclusive League of Legends Worlds 2020 Jersey
Global esports organization Gen.G and Global sports company PUMA unveil limited edition jersey for League of Legends Worlds Championships.
Well-known American Fashion Designer Heron Preston Johnson crafted the artwork for the jersey which Gen.G’s League of Legends team will proudly wear. The artwork featured on the jersey is a design that features his love for retro video games and pays homage to the players who represent their home country against top teams globally.
This limited edition jersey is the first collaboration between the two, earlier in June, they announced that they “would bring new merchandise, collaborations and experiences” to their loyal fan base. This limited edition jersey won’t be available for purchase but some lucky fans can get it by participating in social media giveaways conducted by Gen.G and these jerseys will also be signed by the players.
Arnold Hur, Chief Operating Officer of Gen.G, commented in a release: "Worlds 2020 is shaping up to be the biggest ever in terms of competition and viewership globally. As we continue to tell our PUMA partnership journey, this is a really important moment for Gen.G on every front. We also wanted to use this opportunity to tell our team's unique story for 2020 and what it took to get this far in this difficult year, and we hope they feel inspired and energized the moment they put on the jerseys."
"It's exciting to see Heron's artwork for the Gen.G players brought to life on these limited-edition jerseys," said Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand and Marketing at PUMA. "PUMA is thrilled to outfit the Gen.G League of Legends team as they take on the 2020 World Championship!"
