FaZe Clan and olofmeister have parted ways
End of an era?
BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021 was concluded last night and with it so was Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson's run with FaZe Clan.
Olof has been a longtime veteran in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lands and has played under the banner of FaZe for over 3 years. Whilst his time at FaZe, he has tasted success multiple times, including the ELEAGUE Boston Major’18 run before falling to Cloud9 in the Grand Finals.
FaZe Clan also triumphed at three tournaments in 2017 with Olof onboard - ESL One New York, ELEAGUE Premier, and ECS Season 4 Finals. Heading into 2019, FaZe Clan was victorious at two of BLAST Pro Series tournaments as well. However, post that Olof went on a break and returned in October 2020 to fill the void that was vacated by Nikola “NiKo“ Kovac.
His Twitter reads, "Not the ending i wanted but we qualified and that was the most important! Time to take a step back and I'll update you guys about my future. Was a lot of fun playing and the future is looking really bright for the FaZe team, wish them nothing but the best as always! GGs!"
Having such an illustrious career from being one of the notable former Fnatic members to serving for FaZe Clan, Olof has been playing competitively for a decade now, it is not sure if the legend is considering to retire or to move on to another roster.
