ESL to bring IEM Cologne back on LAN

It won't have a live audience but will still reunite 24 teams from around the world.

The top german esports organisation officially revealed that IEM Cologne, the premier tournament that will be held from the later first week of the next month will be a LAN event.

The event commences from the 6th of July onwards and has a shiny $1 million prize pool up for the taking, where some of the world's best teams will start competing into the play-in stage of the tournament that goes on until the 18th of July.

IEM Cologne marks the return of the CS:GO to LAN, it will be the first event held on LAN since March 2020. There will be no live audience at the venue but the event will still bring together the 24 best teams from across the world.

Furthermore, people who brought tickets for IEM Cologne 2020 or 2021 can initiate a refund or can use the same tickets for the next iteration of the event that will be held in 2022.

The organiser has also confirmed the full list of teams that are set for the play-in stage, the madness begins on the 6th of July.
