Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Brazil 2023 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, with the semifinals taking place at Jeunesse Arena, according to ESL. From April 17 to April 23, there will be matches in the worldwide Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament. The sale of event tickets will start on March 6.

Rio de Janeiro will once more host an international tournament following IEM Major Rio 2022. There will be 16 teams fighting for a portion of the US$ 250,000 in total prizes. The competition still counts as one win towards the Intel Grand Slam and qualifies the winner for IEM Cologne in 2023.

The 16 competitors will be split into two brackets for the group stage of the event, which will begin on April 17. The playoffs, which also will take place in the Jeunesse Arena from April 21 to 23 and share the same venue as the IEM Major Rio 2022 playoffs, will feature six teams.

ESL has not yet disclosed ticket prices or the sales channel, but tickets will go on sale on March 6. Soon, more information will be made available.

14 of the 16 teams on the IEM Brasil 2023 participating teams have been determined. The qualifying rounds in South America and North America, which culminate on Thursday, February 16, will determine the final two.
