Education Ministry To Support Indian Students With Employment Opportunities In Online Gaming
Indian Education Ministry to generate employment opportunities for students in online gaming
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that soon "a hackathon will be organised for students of higher education institutions through innovation in toy technology and design, including online games. This hackathon will be based on technology and design reflecting Indian ethos and values".
Denmark Prime Minister Lara Løkke Rasmussen stated in a speech at BLAST Pro Series 2018 at the Royal Arena Copenhagen, “you’ve been training for years and years to be here and along the way, you probably had to explain yourself more than once convincing people that you were not wasting your time”. Certainly, things seem to be changing for all the “Ye PUBG vala hai kya?”, as addressed by our very own Prime Minister once.
Union Education Ministry is working on new ways to support the students in the field of online gaming and toy-making to generate job opportunities for them, the ministry to organise a national level hackathon on ‘online gaming’ for the same.
Nishank talked further about the possibilities of employment in the toy industry and online gaming with the likes of PM Narendra Modi’s view of India to lead the digital gaming sector.
Recently, the National Education Policy was revised as well and ’online games’ to be a part of the newly changed education curriculum.
