Esports Charts, the analytical firm reveals that despite DotA being far in terms of popular gaming list, it sits at first place in terms of user engagement. The viewership numbers are released for both, competitive as well as non-competitive categories for the streaming platform.

DotA 2 topping the table is closely followed by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with only a 2 points distance. Interestingly, the non-competitive titles have come as the most populous with 'Just Chatting' being the most-watched for Quater-3 (Q3) of the year. Just Chatting has over 500 million hours watched, that is almost 130% than what League of Legends garnered with 394 million hours spent. Let's not forget, League of Legends hosted a successful show of their grand annual event 'World Championship 2020' despite the pandemic and still Just Chatting has managed to surpass it.

The Top 10 list of Most Watched Games Category also includes other popular names such as Among Us, Fall Guys, Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft.

The report from Esports Charts also reveals that more than 10 million unique viewers tuned in for online/offline events. It also notes that LoL is the most-watched Twitch category peaking 794k viewers and 11.4 million viewers whereas region-wise DotA is the most popular category in CIS with every third individual occasionally tuning in.
