Blast Draft SEA 2023: Counter-Strike Legends Join India and Pakistan's Top Teams
The Blast Draft for South East Asia 2023 is set to electrify fans as CS legends like olofmeister, guardiaN, GeT_RighT, friberg, KennyS, and shox join forces with top teams from India and Pakistan.
The Blast Draft for South East Asia has sparked significant excitement among Counter-Strike enthusiasts as it features some of the sport's most prominent figures joining the top teams in the region. This three-day event will see six legendary players distributed among teams from India and Pakistan.
The event boasts invitations to some of Counter-Strike's most celebrated players, including the former FaZe Clan members olofmeister and the renowned sniper guardiaN, as well as NIP's famous duo GeT_RighT and friberg, and the French pair KennyS and shox. Despite having stepped back from the forefront of competitive CS, these veterans have remained engaged with the community through streaming and playing with smaller teams.
Since his less remarkable return to NAVI, guardiaN has stepped out of the top-tier spotlight but has stayed active within the community via streaming. He will be joining God’s Reign for The Draft. Olofmeister will be taking his talents to Team WahWah in Pakistan.
The celebrated French pair, Shox and KennyS, will join Marchos Gaming and True Rippers, respectively. KennyS has been away from the top-tier scene following his departure from G2, and Shox's experience with English-speaking teams, notably a disappointing period with Liquid Gaming, didn't meet his expectations.
GeT_RighT and Friberg, two of the game's most beloved figures, will be playing for Come Mid and Pak Boyz, respectively. Despite being distant from the competitive scene for some time, their legacy with NiP continues to be cherished by fans.
