Opensignal is an independent mobile analytics company specialising in "quantifying mobile network experience". According to a recent study by them, the city of Ahemdabad tops the chart countrywide in terms of mobile gaming users. Ahemdabad is followed by Navi Mumbai and Vadodara at second and third positions. Fascinating how Mumbai and Ahemdabad - the only tier 1 cities have made to the top 10 list. Opensignal mentions that tier 2 and 3 cities are seeing rapid growth in terms of mobile gaming users. All thanks to affordable smartphones, low-cost data, and stable bandwidth across the nation.

The analytical company tested data from a total of 48 cities altogether across the country to conclude the ranking. The ranking was measured on a scale of 0-100 and popular gaming titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Clash Royale were taken under consideration for the data. The list measures how “users perceive real-time multiplayer mobile gaming on cellular networks.”

Ahemdabad is the winner with a score of 71.7, followed by Navi Mumbai (70.1), Vadodara (69.8), Surat (68), Bhopal (67.8) and, Mumbai (67.8) at Top 5 positions.

The research also states that User Datagram Protocol (UDP) latency, packet loss, and jitter are the three essential things for a good gaming experience.
